Is this the place to go when craving authentic Chinese food? Of course not, but Pei Wei offers delicious food at a very good price point. My favorites would have to be their Pad Thai, Mongolian Beef, Kung Pao and Caramel Chicken. Their brown rice can be a bit undercooked at times, but it tastes much better once you throw in a spoonful of the chili sauce. This location is a lot slower than the location in Miami Lakes, and they tend to never have any open tables.

A PF Chang's sister chain, Pei Wei offers a lower priced fast food style menu with msg free food. This location has declined over the years with respect to the cleanliness. The service needs to improve significantly. The staff seem to be students and they don't offer salt or pepper when asked, which seems strange for an Asian restaurant. I would rate the food 3 star but on the salty side however the plates, cutlery, tables, floors, restrooms every thing is pretty much dirty. They take forever to clean the tables and the staff is very inexperienced and slow. Their rating can't go any higher unless they have a professional cleaning done and follow up with daily maintenance and better service.

I can't with this Pei Wei. I just can't. This place is a jungle. I LOVE Pei Wei and the food at this location is pretty good. But mark my words, after two trips to this particular Pei Wei, I will never return. I first tried this location out on a Thursday night with my dad. It was so packed that there were no tables available. Fortunately for us, after waiting 15 minutes to place our order, we found a table. We ended up having to bus the table ourselves as the people there before left their plates and cups on the table and there were no employees in sight. After we cleared our own table we had to hunt down someone to bring a towel and clear the food remnants from the table. There were no cup covers for our drinks, babies were screaming, and we again had to search for someone to bring us silverware as there were no clean utensils in the provided area. I tried this Pei Wei a second time because I thought my first experience might have been an anomaly. Nope. This time it was even worse. The line was to the door, however I opted to get take out since I was only ordering for myself. I stood in the take-out line for 10 minutes and watched the cashier chat it up with one of her friends who was apparently on her break. The line didn't move an inch. It was loud, crowded, and the service was clearly non-existent. So I left. Run, my friends. Run far, far away to the Miami Lakes or Weston Pei Wei.

DO NOT COME HERE. I REPEAT: DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! How is this establishment still in business? I am dying to see how many violations they have on dirty dining. I walked in on a very quiet Tuesday night, proceeded to walk up to the register and waited approximately 2-3 minutes for the cashier to finish her conversation with the fellow employees to even acknowledge me. It wasn't a work related conversation either because she was laughing. She happily took my order and for a mere $13.00 got sweet and sour shrimp with rice and a soda. Pretty steep for a Chinese chain restaurant but I digress. I go to choose a seat in this restaurant and although there were about 2-3 tables with patrons, 11 of these tables were not cleaned off. Yes I said 11 because I actually counted. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. One of the tables even had a wet rag on the tables. Like someone must've decided to clean it and left the rag on the table mid swipe. It was disgusting. So the table I chose appeared clean until I put my hand on the chair to pull it out and the chairs were sticky and smelly. So GROSS! I had to go to the bathroom to get a paper towel with water to wipe it down. And don't even get me started on the bathrooms. Only go in there if you are willing to question whether or not you will leave with viral meningitis. The food came out and while it wasn't bad, it was not worth $13.00. The sauce was way too salty and the rice tasted bad. The soda was flat and the self service station was disgusting. We were sitting in this establishment for 20 minutes and not ONE person cleaned off those tables, while there were 3 cashiers chatting away, 4 chefs and 1 food runner who was doing everything besides cleaning off the tables. This place is downright disgusting and I would never come back here under any circumstances - and neither should you. If they can't even keep their dining room clean what makes you think they would do the same for their kitchen?I am contemplating even calling the department of health on them that's how disgusted I was.

I don't know what's happened to this location but stay away. Went today for lunch, big mistake. Ordered my usual, chicken pad Thai very badly done. Noodles cooked to death had a weird acid taste. My son got the Mongolian beef with vegetables unable to eat the vegetables they were put on the plate like they forgot them. Not cooked at all. One customer at a table across from me had to return his food three times. Will not be returning.

Unfortunately the 2ish stars are deserved. Avoid this place. The service was bad and the food was only edible if you knew what to order and what to avoid. ORDER: Pad thai. It's not authentic, but it's at least tasty. AVOID: Tofu. This shit is just gross. I love tofu. Here, it looks like they marinade it in soy sauce and then bake it before putting it in their stir fries. Couple things to wrap up: Their "thai dynamite" sauce tastes like nothing. And their wait staff has zero follow through on customer concerns. It took me 45 minutes to get food after I sent the first plate of thai dynamite tofu back to the kitchen. Sorry, won't ever be back. And I can't see the need to investigate another Pei Wei.

The customer service here is horrible. The young staff are not friendly and they move at a snail's pace. They are not very welcoming here. I prefer the Miami Lakes location.

  • Jessica C.

Love the food, but there seems to be a lack of customer service in this place. I've been here a couple of times and the food is consistent, I really like their honey seared, kung pao or caramel sauce. Service portions are big, well at least big for me. Their wok options are good, at least you know your food comes out hot and good. I feel that this can be a healthier option, especially that it tells you the amount of calories you're eating. If you're looking for a real quick and cheap sushi fix get the Teriyaki Crunch Roll. THAT WASABI AIOLI IS TO DIE FOR. I don't really like wasabi, but that wasabi sauce was just blissful. I think their rolls can be bigger in serving. Service can definitely improve. I feel that the people they hire are not happy to work there, they always have this resting mean face, that can ruin your dining experience. So maybe ordering take out will be your best option. Unless you have fun friends and family, then you'd be ok!

If you want the runs, go here. Would recommend if that's what your quest is. Other than that, I'd rather eat Panda Express.

  • Todd W.

The food here is good, but this is the second time coming here without us getting our appetizers before our actual orders come. It's a bit disorganized, but not a bad option if you are in the area.

I really like this place but man, the food is so much in the salty side that I always feel guilty of eating it. If it wasn't because of this, I will give this place 4 stars. I know is Asian food, but man, is above the amount of salt than other places. Last night we went and had the sushi rolls. They offer 2 varieties: Mango California Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll. Both of them were delicious and not salty. We also ordered the Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps. This was also good tasting but salty. I'm telling you, they use good spices, enough to lay off the large amounts of salts, and still be delicious. I wish they could change that.

Friendly staff, always clean and the food is always delicious. There's nothing I wouldn't try on the menu.

My food was excellent. I got the Mongolian chicken and beef with noodles. Service was all handled personally by the manager George. Great customer service. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Ever since this location has been open it's been consistently the worst run pei Wei I've been to. Sushi is horrible, they ran out of shrimp before, 40 min ticket times on the weekend, new managers every year.

  • Dorothea P.

Good came out fast staff was friendly but there were a lot of dirty tables and the counter where the soda and the utensils we're was very dirty

Clean extremely friendly and curtious. Highly recommend the "pei wei spicy chicken salad"

  • Alex H.

Sadly, this place is always packed and for some odd reason the kitchen cannot keep up with the volume. From the time of ordering till you sit it takes a lifetime to get the food to the table. Worse yet is that on some occasions the bussers won't clean the table without some attitude. The food is worth the wait but sometimes the wait is too great for the food. I'm not sure if this place is understaffed or what, but at least the quality of food makes up for it.

This location has declined. We have enjoyed eating here periodically over the last few years. Went last night and was really disappointed. Lo mein was like spaghetti with soy sauce. Very little chicken and no vegetables. Pad Thai was watery. Brown rice did not seem fresh. Would not eat here again.

As another Yelper described it best ,this is a poor mans PF Changs. Now this is not a bad thing at all. There menu is infused and very creative. They take dishes from several different cultures and add speckles of Asian cuisine, very creative and affordable. The location is prime as its in the middle of coffee shops, other restaurants and departments stores on one of the busiest streets in the area Pines Blvd. You place your order at the register and one of there bus boys will bring the food to your table. They also have a one of those Coke Machines that carry all there products and you can add a what ever side flavor you desire. Over 120 different variations of drinks. The employees here are nice and respectful and attend to your needs. I am a particular fan of there Mongolian Beef or Jerk Chicken Lettuce Wraps. There quite tasty, you also should try there appetizers such a edemame and wontons. There Coconut Curry fried rice is simply delicious. Pair it with chicken and you have yourself quite a plate of dynamic flavors fused to delight your taste buds. I have no complaints, for the amount of food, the flavor and price. I will be back !!!

I love this place. I've been eating here for 5 years and it just gets better and better. The food has improved, they've vamped up their menu a lot since I've started eating there. I would stick to their traditional dishes like pad Thai, lo mein, Mongolian beef w/ rice. Always delicious, classic, they never disappoint. I wouldn't order the sushi and things like that because it is not a sushi bar. Don't expect grade A sushi because that's not what you will get. The sushi is fine but not what I would order at Pei Wei. Wonton soup is really tasty and all their appetizers are good too like the egg rolls and crab ragoons. This is my go to spot for fast and affordable Asian food

Very consistent with other PEI WEI's I've been to. Pretty amazing. Food came out quick even during busy weekday lunch hours. Caramel Chicken wasn't overly fried. Good for kids, too.

Update on my recent visit. Quality and service really went down the hill. I ordered the Mongolian Steak and we waited for more than half an hour. Went up to the server to ask where my food is and they haven't even make it!!! The ticket just sat there and the chef didn't even bother to make it! The few people that sat later than us already got their food. What a complete disappointment. This will be our last visit. No thanks.

It's not real Chinese food, but it's pretty good for a chain restaurant. I come here for only one dish: the sesame chicken with white rice. I order the small size and it's the perfect portion for me and very affordable at around $6.80. The staff is a bit disorganized, but I don't come to Pei Wei expecting stellar customer service.

I'm not a fan of this place but I was hungry and Panera was closed. We decided to order some new items on their menu - Spicey Tuna Roll and Mango California Roll. We also ordered the Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps. We didn't have to wait long to receive our orders. I didn't try the Spicey Tuna because it's just not my cup of tea. But my order of Mango Cali Roll was delicious! I normally don't like fruit stuff mixed with meat stuff but the mango did not overwhelm the overall taste of this roll. I was pleasantly surprised. You have the option of ordering the roll in 4 or 8 pieces. I was already stuffed with the 8. As for the Thai Chicken Lettuce, flavor wise it was up to par but it was too salty. This is part of the reason why I am not a fan of Pei Wei. It's like ordering a side of high blood pressure. Good thing I ordered the Mango Cali Roll, it made up for the chicken. I was happy it was fresh and yummy tasting.

I just came here for a take out. Ordered dome Ginger broccoli chicken with white rice. I had to wait like 20 mins to get my order. The chicken had a good taste, broccoli was fresh and it was just white rice.

This place is horrible!! Bugs inside my soda & walking everywhere. Place is super dirty! Plates, food all over the dining area just sitting there and no one is here. Food super dry. I'm shock because I love PeiWei and have never had a problem. THE WORST EVER! Along with very rude employees... I have no idea what is going on today but never again

Tonight i had a five star experience in customer service , there was a new manager ,never saw her, she was working hard to make sure everybody got his order right , she was looking very passionate about her job ! My meal was amazing like always I will be back for sure !!!

Always reliable. Made to order selections. Fast service. Big portions. Very reasonable prices. I can't ask for a filling lunch anywhere else. This chain got their formula down. Well thats what I expected from the brains of PF Chang people. Try their new Thai Chili selections but I love the Pei Wei Spicy Salad and Thai Chicken lettuce wrap. Both items for 16 bucks....I'm down anytime :)

My family like this location they have fast service and friendly stuff, I definitely recommend this restaurant, we tried other locations but this one is best of all.

  • Andy V.

Overall, good. Fast paced and they're pretty quick to take your order and get you seated. Not sure if it's like this everywhere but the order taker told us our number and had someone put it on a table for us instead of allowing us to find a seat we liked. That was a little odd and to me very annoying. I'm the kind of guy that is very particular on where I sit, let's call it a habit. Food was good. Had the Pad Tai. If someplace can't do Pad Tai right, then no sense in doing anything else there. I wouldn't call it "right" as In its done just as it traditionally should be but it tastes very good. I'm a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to different culture's foods. I like things like Pad Rai generally at a whole in the wall place. This definitely is not a whole in the wall joint. Trendy and modern in a chain sort of way.

Don't order the sushi, the pieces are small, rice is mushy. Tastes like it's been sitting in a fridge for two days.

The sushi made me sick. Old rice=salmonella and food born illness. I took two bites and returned the meal. Ok customer service, they offered something else and I was refunded the price difference. Unfortunately, I ingested too much of the sushi and became ill, not daring to eat the new food. Money lost and food poisoning...

I've had pei wei before but not at this location and I would never go back. The service was okay but the food here is TERRIBLE! I gave this place a second chance and I was disappointed, AGAIN. The rice and lo mein was very oily, funny but shrimp lo mein was a bit sweet? So was the beef with onions - that was extremely sweet, ate a piece and left it there. kung pao chicken lacked flavor, crab Rangoon was still drenched in oil.. overall a terrible experience.

  • MickeyBlue I.

This is a last resort type location and definitely a "to go" type restaurant. The service is extremely slow and it's very chaotic inside. Not much communication going on in the kitchen resulting in many wrong orders. The fried rice isn't bad if you have 30 minutes to spare. They do not have table service and it's mostly inexperienced servers running around confused.

    (1)
  • Kalvin K.

Decent Americanized asian food. I like the fact that it's easy to order online. The preparation time is a little much for what they do... It's not really fast food like other asian restaurants. The food is ok, definitely not the typical cuisine one would find at an authentic asian restaurant (Chinese, Korean, Thai) but it's close.

    (4)
  • Alex L.

Don't bother with the sushi, by the taste of it they prepared it days before and the rice grains had all mushed into one cohesive gelatinous blob. If you like sushi gum this is for you.

Only family ppl in the restaurant. Got up to get our drinks and they cleared our food. They didn't care it happened either. Won't be back

Waited 45 Minutes for a simple take out order. 6 people in the cooking area, even the manager had to jump in and they could not get the orders out with any semblance of organization. On a scale of 1 to 10 for customer service I would give them a negative 100. Absolutely the last time I'll be going to this Pei Wei. The girl that took our order didn't even apologize for the delay. They had an "I don't give a crap" attitude and it showed in everything they did. NEVER again! This place was great and now it just sucks both the service and the food. Avoid it.

Good food but poor service. It took a long time to get our food. They brought out my wife's food first. Still waiting for my food.

Came here expecting food quality that of PF Changs since they are owned by the same chain. I was very disappointed. My Pad thai was syrupy and overly sweet and salty. Had to send back my spicy tuna rolls as the rice had more the consistency of glue. The manager agreed to replace my order but it's pretty much a lose lose situation at that point.

This location is poorly managed. Half the menu was unavailable after being open to the public for almost 2 hours. Cleanliness was poor at best. I enjoy Pei Wei, but not at this location.

We love pei wei but this location should be closed so the Chipotle next door can grow larger. We ordered shrimp pad thai and they were out of the shrimp and the noodles. Soda machines were out of coke and many other flavors, my poor wife was forced to drink mello yello zero for heaven's sake. The dining room is too small for the location...many people waiting a long time for tables, including ourselves. The food also took about 30 minutes to come out. Oh yeah, and the high school girl taking our order was a bundle of joy....I felt like she was expecting an apology from us for interrupting her day. Stay away!

I usually enjoy Pei Wei but this Pembroke Pines location is terrible waited 40 minutes for one dish and it's very disorganized the staff is extremely rude and could care less don't go to this location

    (1)
  • Abigail B.

I went to Pei Wei once for lunch takeout and will never go again. The inside of the restaurant was nice enough, casual. I ordered the sweet and sour shrimp. The sauce was thick and the pineapple and veggies had no flavor. It seemed that none of the ingredients were fresh at all (maybe everything was frozen or canned). The sauce was what really turned me off. It just tasted like it came from a bucket and was 80% corn syrup, highly processed. I really hate giving one star to anyone, but I can't justify giving it two.

    (1)
  • Maria I.

I always get the chicken fried rice. It's always delicious. Through the years I've noticed that they give you less chicken at a higher cost. Not happy about that. This location as well as the one in Plantation is poor at the To Go orders. Orders are never ready when they tell you they will. Its faster to dine in.

    (3)
  • Jessica G.

Wanting a quick fix of P.F. Chang's? Pei Wei is it! Food comes out fast, perfect for take out, and almost as good as P.F. Chang's. Very clean restaurant and friendly staff. Can't go wrong with any of the dishes...they're all that good! Some of my favorites are the Mongolian Beef, Lo Mein, Orange Peel Chicken, and Sweet and Sour Chicken or Pork.

  • Lauren C.

What is going on with this location? The last couple times I have placed pickup orders the wait has been incredibly long. I received a bogo coupon and tried to redeem it yesterday, however, it was an hour and a half wait! What?!!! Definitely could not wait that long. The coupon was expiring that night so I asked if they would honor the coupon the next day but it was a no. I'm a regular at this location but not sure I'm willing to battle the wait times or bad customer service any longer.

My two friends and I ordered at the same time. My food came out in a reasonable time, theirs did not. I finished my meal as we watched groups who ordered 10+ minutes after us get their food before my friends arrived. Then one dish arrived followed by the other 5 minutes later.

Quick and great food... Everything is always made fresh to order. I love their lettuce wraps. They are so good.

Don't know why it took me so long to finally try out Pei Wei, but boy was I missing out. If you want to grab a quick bite, or just pick up your food and go home, this is your place. Service is fast, prices are amazing, and the food is very good. Ordered the chicken lettice wraps. LARGE portion for a great price, and very yummy. My boyfriend ordered the steak with rice and the honey sauce, and he said his meal was very good too. Definetly coming back.

The Hot Mess I went to this location for a 3rd time today. My past experiences were slow, but not terrible. Today was a whole different story. I went in for lunch about 1:45pm and after waiting a few minutes for one cashier to go through a line, i placed my normal order of mongolian beef and brown rice. The cashier gave me 2 cups. I was confused already as she had to tell me that they lost their table numbers and this cup would serve as mine. This led to the following events. Once I ordered, I attempted to get a drink and utensils. One of the coke machines had no ice and the other was sticky and nasty and looked like someone spilled their plate in front of it. I then realized that there was no chili paste available in the normal place. i asked a waiter and he said you can get it at the front. He didn't offer to get it for me so I put my stuff down and went up front to wait once again. My coworker who got the "last table number" received his food and they said mine would be out soon. about 10 minutes later a waitress carrying my food comes to the table, i show her my number cup and she continues to walk as if it is some other patrons food. she wanders the restaurant and walks back toward me. I say to her "I am pretty sure that's my food". she says no its not your number and proceeds to put it back under the heat lamp by the kitchen and grabs another plate for someone else. The next waitress to go up to the counter sees the plate grabs it and again proceeds in my direction. Again i show her my number and she says not me and wanders like the first moron till she eventually brings it to the manager who confirmed it was my order. By this time, the food was pretty cold and unappetizing. the restaurant was freezing and there were babies screaming. i told them to put it in a box cause i needed to go back to work. They then said that you can grab a box by the utensils showing their lack of service. This pei-wei is by-far the worst location I have been to. I have given it multiple chances because it is close to my work and I always enjoy the Plantation branch by my home. I am not going back to this location and advise others to be cautious, wear a jacket, and make sure to get a real table number card if you do need to go here.

Went here for lunch today at 3:00 and it took about 30 minutes to get my meal. I would understand if it was a busy day but there was nobody else in line before or after me when I ordered my food. Things are starting to go down hill with pei wei, it no longer is the way it was a year ago. Portions are way smaller now and the quality of the food isn't there anymore. Also, I can no longer drink out of the plastic cups from here because they're always dirty along with the utensils.

Love their food, but customer service sucks! First of all the whole building was freezing. My party of 7 cleaned off some tables and put them together, and after waiting 20 minutes in line, when everyone was settled, we were asked by the manager to give up our seat. We had bused them ourselves! It says step 3 take a seat. They said it wasn't about the money, but I was obvious it wasn't about the customer service either. I am outraged going to wild wings now.

Do not go here unless you have a lonnggg time to wait for your food! We ordered by phone at 705 and were told to pick up at 730, we arrived at 726 to find 12 people crowded into the tiny pick up area. The dining room had only 6 ppl in it. No one's food was ready for pick up. I found the mgr and asked him to help, he came over, spoke to the take out cashier then left. We got our food 15 min late, which was 40 minutes after I had called. There were 5 cooks cooking during this time! No one apologized. Another visit we ate in, cashier said there was a 30 min wait, we agreed and ordered, we got our food in 1 hour and 5 min. The dining room was not full! Not sure what's going on here, but going to try Weston Pei Wei instead next time since the food is good.

I honestly stopped trying to eat here. This shopping center has been going to shit after the years. The employees don't really care about your food. I ordered take out & was told it would take 10 mins, it took 30... Once my food was out all the employees were on their phones, no gloves on touching the lettuce wraps, it was pretty gross. There was a lady right next to me waiting for the manager because what we saw was pretty ridiculous. I walked out once I got my food. Got home started eating it and it was flavorless, I asked for fried rice & they didn't even give me any. I called my 'neighborhood' pei Wei & I spoke to the manager randy he told me I would get a full refund. A week later didn't receive anything in my bank. I called them again spoke to randy AGAIN he said he made a mistake in their system.... He asked for my credit card info to do a refund... Uh NO, I had to legit walk in to the pei Wei to get my $10.26 for a useless meal. Thanks & never again.

Takes way too long for the food to be ready ordered my lunch at 11:56 AM and received it at 12:17 it was just sitting there after I approached the girl at the register that was flirting with the cook and didn't even hand the food to me and 3 other people. Never again

I come to pei Wei often and always have great food and service. That's why I go back. I am trying a new location. This location is dirty smells and just gross. I come in at 1150 and they open at 11 and 3 things I try to order the girl tells me in a snippy tone they do not have them ready it. How do you open a restaurant and not everything ready, almost an hour after you opened. There was no ice in either coke machine. And all the tables were dirty and sticky. The person I was with wanted to get up and leave. This has all happen before we even got our food. Let's see what happens with the food.

I understand that Saturday nights are super busy anywhere in SoFlo, but the staff here at Pei Wei pines are far less than accommodating. All the interactions we've had with employees has made us feel un-welcomed and un-wanted. Pei Wei, if you don't want my money -- just say so!

Standard casual dining spot. If you're a fan of P.F. Chang's then you're sure to like this off-shoot and it's customizable menu, but it's really just mall Chinese dressed-up. They do have the Coke Freestyle machines which are awesome, if you're a soda afficianado.

Last week my husband and I ordered take out. He walked into the restaurant at 7:00pm and didn't walk out until 50 minutes later. He kept asking why his order was taking so long and the employees kept saying sorry it's coming. After 30 minutes he spoke to the manager and never got a respond or an apology. The place was not full they only had 2 tables with customers so this was unacceptable. After 50 minutes of waiting my husband asked the manager for a refund. The manager never apologized or gave an explanation of why the food never came. This is not a way to run a place or treat a customer. As a manager at least give us an explanation of what was going on. While he was giving us a refund for food that "never" got to us he had an attitude. I would never return to this place!

Absolute worst! Never again.. Places an order online was told pick up would be at 7:05.. Got there at 6:59 and paid was told numerous times my food would be ready in 15 mins..10 mins ... At 7:30 they were just starting to cook my food so I got a refund and walked out.. Absolutely ridiculous

What can I say about this staple of Pembroke Pines? Nothing memorable at all. Just typical loud family orientated quick restaurant. If you looking for a quiet time THIS IS NOT IT. With rude families, letting their children run free as if Ina park or something spoils it for the rest of the other families that have well behaved children. But in the most part, just don't go during dinner time for families. For this store it is all of the time. Good food loses atmosphere.

I think for the price, quick, Asian food doesn't get better than this. I love their Mongolian Beef. Now, lets get this straight- we are not talking PF Changs here, you are also not paying PF Changs prices. BUT I think it's a good, cheaper option. The food comes out fast, large portions, pretty good for a quick meal for those days mama doesnt want to cook!

  • Andy T.

The quality of their service and the quality of their food has declined. I used to love pei Wei, but like so many other chain restaurants the quality and customer service has been cheapened to please shareholders. I would recommend Nami Sushi and Thai if you want to get your Asian food fix.

Quick and easy. Nothing out of this world but its still good. Food takes a little bit to come since its always made to order. I like the honey seared shrimp with brown rice.

If you plan to walk in and order take away, just get it as dine in or order online. It takes nearly half an hour for most take out orders.

This place provides some of the worst take out service I've ever had. I ordered take out and was told that it would take 45 minutes because they were having a promotion (guess no one there knows how to plan in advance). After waiting 45 minutes, I get there and had to wait an additional 20 minutes. After I had already paid, I was told that they ran out of white rice and was just given my order with brown rice. I wouldn't ever order from here again, as the staff wasn't even apologetic about their service.

The food is fine when you get it and when you don't have to wait a lot of time to get it. I ordered $80 worth of food for Super Bowl Sunday based on their email that I received. I placed my order at noon for a 6 PM pick up. The food was not ready for an additional 15 minutes. That may not seem like a lot of time, but I placed the order six hours earlier and when the Super Bowl starts at 6:30, 15 minutes is a lot of time. In addition, half the order was missing. When I went back yesterday, there clearly was not enough staff running the front. One employee was too busy bringing out glasses to wait on a customer even though there was an open register. Also, some of the sauce that I was asked if I wanted was missing. The food was decent; that's why they get two stars instead of one. Shawn B and Lauren C are correct. This service is pretty slow at this place and you should avoid the dinner rush.

Okay so I remember hearing a rumor that Pei Wei was a sister restaurant to PF Changs and so when I saw one pop up in my area I was excited! Never went for some reason though. I guess I never really found the time...until today. The menu looked really nice. The type of food I like to eat for sure. I ordered the orange peel shrimp and when it came out it looked great but almost as soon as they sat the plate down, I got a whiff of something funky! Didn't think it was my food though...maybe the people beside me had ordered something stinky! Picked up my first piece of shrimp and bit into it. It felt jelly-like so I spat that piece out. Then I smelled it and the funky odor was MY SHRIMP! Ohhhhh it was just awful! I didn't send it back though because I had ordered a soup also which I sent back because it was made with chicken broth and I don't eat chicken. I felt bad about sending the soup back so I picked the shrimp off the plate and ate the veggies which were fresh and crisp. Too bad the shrimp smelled so awful because this place has great potential but right now, as I type this my tummy aches. I shouldn't have even eaten the vegetables. BIG MISTAKE! Hope I don't end up with food poison because I just left there an hour ago. And the odor is still in my nose! Ughhhh!!! Terrible experience. If it's any consolation though, the staff was super nice, and polite and customer service was superb. I just don't understand how the chef prepared this shrimp in super hot oil with the smoke blowing directly up his nose, and he still decided to serve this! I KNOW HE SMELLED IT!

This place is ridiculously SLOW!! Will never eat here again. Avoid this place at all costs around chow time!!

  • Bryan P.

Probably the slowest service of any Pei Wei I have been to. Came at 1:30 pm on a Saturday. The restaurant was about half full. It took 35 minutes for one Pad Thai. Normally that takes 10 min tops.

  • Joy D.

Pei Wei never disappoints! I chose the spring rolls. These crunchy little rolls are absolutley delicious. The Chciken lettuce wraps were fantastic. Nice leaves of lettuce were provided and I created my own rolls with a delicious chicken concoction. It was seasoned perfectly and I found myself chowing down on this without the lettuce. They did provide a spicy sauce which enhanced the falvor, but didn't make much of a difference as the chicken was so well seasoned, that it was good enough to stand on it's own. It was an ample serving for more than one seating. Mongolian Beef with Brown Rice was and continues to be a great example of why someone who doesn't eat beef often, would take pleasure in eating this dish. For a simple diner and as the baby brother to PF Changs, Pei Wei has mastered the concept of making eating meals at an asian food chain, a desirable experience.

Love the kung pao chicken and fried rice. Not spicy enough for me so I put chili paste. Put spicy mayo in my rice, yum. Crab wontons are delicious. Dont get the sushi. It sucks.

It was okay- that was it- I ordered some spicy chicken dish for $7 and it was not spicy. Portion was good- I had it with green beans which were yummy. Would try again but clearly the spicy was not this day!

I really enjoy eating here, it is a little loud since the Kitchen is open to the restaurant. But I don't care about it. Because I talk loud. My wife doesn't care for a loud noise restaurant. She likes food, she gives it a 3. I give them a 4.5 but I cannot go the 0.5 so I give it a 4. I always get the same thing. PAI THAI !!! EXCELLENT!! My wife enjoys their LO-MEIN A must go place! Ugh! Going in, the darkness of the place actually blinds you, especially coming from the hot FL sun shining outside. It is just another fast food place except that it is.. dark and noisy. Next ugh! The dishes were suspect. I am not sure if they were thoroughly cleaned given that it was lunch hour rush. Little smudges of something here and there.. Ultimately, the food was downright bad - an insult to Asian cuisine. The Thai wonton soup had wontons that tasted store-bought, defrosted, simmered in some kind of soup stock w/ Thai herbs and served lukewarm. The steak fried rice had 80% rice and 20% meat. It took us 2 days to finish off that rice at home. Oh, lest I forget, chinese fried rice shouldn't have bell peppers. I checked the name outside, it is called an Asian Diner, it didn't say, asian fusion diner. Never again.

Enjoyed yet another visit to this Pei Wei. It's very clean and staff are friendly and courteous. My dish was the entree with a side for $6.45 or something in that range, but less than $7 and the portion is great. My new fav is the tofu and vegetable Lo Mien with a spring roll. Although spring roll can be a bit greasy at times, it still delicious.

I visit frequently for lunch, I usually order the Asian Chopped Chicken Salad, and its awesome! but on my last visit, I ordered their new Mongolian (Diner Selects Portion) and it was the perfect portion. The staff is a little pushy but its very clean and busy lunch crowd.

We can call this P.F. Chang's little brother... Sine I know I like P.F.'s Mongolian Beef, this is what I decide to order @ Pei Wei. I had it with brown rice, portions are big, prices are affordable, but this particular dish was a bit too salty for my taste. Still, would eat here again, there are other things in the menu that caught my attention and would like to try.

  • Myriam V.

First time here, be aware that no waiter/tress will come and take your order, you go and do it and then they bring the food. Ordered the teriyaki tofu lunch combo and it was delicious, spring roll was pretty good. Soda machine is really modern and fun to use, you can combine refreshments: orange tea + strawberry lemonade. Place is really clean and portions are great for the price, I have no complains, besides the lack of wifi service. Next time ill try food to take. Can't wait to be back and try the salads. On

I'm becomming more of a PW fan each time I visit. The chicken lettuce wraps can only be outdone by PF Changs (and we all know that Changs is PW'S baby daddy, right?) I have not had a disappointing meal here yet. Last week's lo mein was great. They listen when you say you want something "not too spicy". Place is always clean and well run. Pee Wee, (I will always call them that) you've turned me into a customer!

Great place for lunch, nice and quick service. The food is very good, can't believe this is supposed to be fast food, it is not. Quality as good as any good Chinese restaurant. Loved the automotive coke soda machines , really cool stuff. Can't beat prices either for the quality and service. I wish I can go more times during the week for lunch.

  • Robyn C.

Pei Wei is great for a couple things. - Large portions - Affordable prices - Sort of considered "Fast Food" It's a very Americanized version of Chinese food and also part of a chain so don't expect too much. Makes for a classic "night in with Chinese food" date. Nothing more, nothing less.

Caramel Chicken at Pei Wei, spicy, sweet and delicious with steamed brown rice. This place has great food at decent prices.

I enjoy going to this location since it is near my job. At lunch there has been times that is has gotten packed and we've been on time crunch. I do feel the prices are great and so are the portions. I tend to stick to honey seared shrimp or mongolian chicken. Both are flavorful and satisfying!

I like to go to this location because the service is always great. Food is always good, great portions and very consistent flavor profile at a reasonable price. I like they now have dinner special where you can choose your plate and 1 appetizer for a low price. This is perfect for me because the regular order it;s too much for me.

Wanted to give a 5 star review for customer service to Pei Wei for making things right! The manager and people there are awesome! The food is great!

I LOVE Pei Wei... in the Dallas/Frisco area. Wanting a late lunch today, we headed here expecting consistency (which is why we go to chains, right?). The service was acceptable, but the honey chicken was literally inedible, plus the location so busy that parking was an issue at like 2 pm on a Sunday. Add to that was an unruly child at the next table that gave us a headache from his shrieks and outbursts. I generally give Pei Wei a 3 on its reputation (and it would get 4 in Frisco), but they were off the mark and the sheer bother of going to that location makes me consider this low on my list to return.

  • Michael S.

I usually enjoy the occasional Pei Wei meal to curb my Asian cravings. But my newest meal wasn't so tasty as it normally is here. I ordered some noodle dish with chicken and received a noodle dish with no chicken dosed in a heavy sauce. If I wanted five thousand pounds of carbs and no protein it would have been perfect. Sadly, I didn't and it wasn't. Besides this Pei Wei hiccup, the spring rolls I ordered were pretty good and i would highly recommend them to anyone. I do recommend checking out Pei Wei just don't order any pasta dish. Stick with the proteins, appetizers, and soups!

As I work in the area, we frequent this restaurant regularly for lunch on the weekdays. The food is always good, the portions are large, the crab rangoons are as good as PF Changs. Despite the fact that it gets busy during lunch, the staff does a good job of keeping the place moving. Even though, it not a not a sit down / menu restaurant like PF Changs, the staff is helpful. Good management. The food could be more authentic, however, I think they are going for the 'Asian food' theme. This is evident by them having Thai / Korean / Japanese / Chinese food on one menu. All of these foods are deserving of their own restaurant!

I only get take out from this restaurant and it is great!. Food is well packed and service is excellent. I tried the two new lettuce wraps and the Mongolian beef stir fry. The wraps were great! I enjoyed the chicken slightly more than the beef wraps. The brown rice with the stir fry is great. Portion size is large. Wife enjoy the wonton soup! Best Asian take out in the area!

They brought back Carmel Chicken! They also offer new small side dishes, I tried the black beans, rice and chicken. It was ok nothing special

Do you want a reasonable priced upscale Asian dinner in about 10 minute wait time. This is it. I get the spicy chicken Kung Pao dish with extra veggies and a drink. Outstanding! A huge portion for 11 bucks, how can you beat that? If you want quality and quantity over pazzaz, this is your spot.

    (4)
  • Evan L.

Definitely not the place for authentic Asian food. Nevertheless, a wide sampling of Asian cuisines that mirrors the P.F. Chang's style of cooking. The restaurant is a popular lunch spot, and the concept is well-executed. My Korean Beef was a salty mess of sauce and meat, with a distinct flavor of...well...nothing. (Unless you consider sodium a flavor.) I was hungry, so I made the best of it with the brown rice. Judging from the plates of my coworkers, menu items that are fried and coated in some Orange or Lemon sauce probably would fare a bit better flavor-wise. For now, I'll stick to my Panda Express for my feel-good Americanized, crab rangooning Chinese cravings.

  • Vivian L.

Friendly staff & great food although it's a chain. I wanted to be bold & tried the Japanese Chile Ramen but it was wayy too spicy. They were nice enough to make me something else so I got Mongolian Beef. You can never go wrong with that.

A group of us got this for lunch while at work. Great take out. Prices are in the $7 range, so great for lunch, and the portions are huge. In fact, I just finished eating the remainder for dinner. Seriously, there are some hot and spicy noodles on my keyboard. yuck, let me go get something to wipe that up: ahdfiuiu92r u980uw q7r qppoijgsa wae[ jafdsa There, all better. Sorry about that. I had the Blazing Noodles, which were very good. And actually spicy. So many times, you get something that has that cue little red chili pepper next to it, and there is maybe a dash of black pepper to spice it up. Not so at Pei Wei. My noodles had really good, just a bit tingly spice that let you know it was there, but didn't render your lips and tongue unusable for the next hour-and-a-half. This is handy while at work, where you want something with a "Calgon, take me away" kind of feeling, but not too much of an impairment. As you can see from the website, this is by the group that does P.F. Chaings. They have done a great job with a take-out service

  • R.J. R.

Pei Wei is owned by P.F. Changs, kinda like an express version if you will. For what it is, a fast food asian place, the quality, convenience, and price are good. Sure some of the sauces are a little heavy, you just have to tell them to take it easy. For instance I order my chicken teriyaki bowl with no onions, easy on the sauce, and I could eat that daily. Pei Wei's main competitor, in my opinion, is Mama Fu's on Hollywood Blvd. They are very similar, but I prefer Pei Wei.

    (4)
  • Roland S.

Asian fast casual that has better service and prices than its parent restaurant, P.F. Chang. Large portions and changing special feature dish are highlights here. Also, try the Orange Mandarin tea. Super-friendly service.

    (4)
  • Jenny Q. V.

not a huge fan of pei wei's food...I like the concept but the food quality is just ok. I know they are owned by same people of PF Changs but PF Changs is way better this should be very close to the taste :(

  • Rachel P.

Checked out Pei Wei this evening, and overall had a good experience. The staff were friendly, and the food came out fast. Food was reasonably priced and there was a wide range of food options from appetizers to salads and main dishes. Portions were good sized. I had the Spicy Korean with chicken and brown rice- it was not very spicy (I love spicy food), but was a good dish. The brown rice was cooked perfectly. We also got the Thai dynamite with chicken dish. Not spicy at all and could have used more sauce. Also the white rice could have been better - a bit dry and cold.

  • Bill B.

Pretty good service and the wait is never long. I enjoy the food here, but it's not a place I would want to eat at on a regular basis because the food is probably not the healthiest.

    (4)
  • Keno C.

the concept is good, but this particular place needs a visit from the health inspectors. this off brand pf chang spot is not footing the bill. you order up front, food is delivered to the table with self-service condiments and drinks. limited table service and please know that the condiment bar is an airborne and contact virus trap. first and last visit!

  • Marc S.

I don't know why this place has 3 1/2 stars. I to this place with my sister and the atmosphere was very dull. I ordered the kung pow chicken spicy and my sister ordered the orange chicken. Kung pow chicken wasn't even spicy and the orange chicken was average. Not to mention the rice had some hard pieces of rice in it. I'm guessing they had left overs and just added it to the new rice. Also Pei Wei is VERY dark inside. It felt like I was inside of a Hollister. If this was the only place left if everything was destroyed. I'd starve to death then eat here again.

  • Bernadette G.

I love Pei-Wei!! Really really delicious food for a really cheap price. They also have a very nice staff there! Some people I know don't like the sauce, but you can always ask they to put the sauces on the side.

  • Amber T.

Pei Wei is growing one me. I avoid the sweet dishes and add "extra vegetables ($1)" to whatever I order and the result is very satisfying. My favorite is the lemon pepper chicken. My husbands favorite thing about this place is the reasonable pricing and NO TIPPING. A casual dinner for two can easily be under $20.

  • MiMi V.

Very American Chinese and for the fast food crowd. Had free coupons for their Viet chicken so on a lark tried it. Not bad in itself but was horrified at the rice. It was dry and unedible. It was good to try but like PF Chang's, I wouldn't bother going again even if it was for free. Simply not worth the calories. In all honesty, the run of the mill chinese take out food serves better quality and better flavors for your buck.

  • Lynnzy L.

Love this place. Cheap, tasty, fresh, and quick. Would like to see more vegetables served in the entrees - the long beans are my favorite. They have great ice tea, chai, fresh brewed. Also like it that they have true vegetarian options but would like more. Welcome to my neighborhood Pei Wei!

From the folks who brought us P.F. Chang's China Bistro comes a sister chain, Pei Wei. I have not been to this location yet, but I have been to the Weston location. Excellent Chinese/Thai restaurant with a diverse menu. There's something for everyone here! I wish there was a Pei Wei in the Young Circle area of Hollywood, it would be a lot closer to me!

  • Ikam A.

Great for fast asian food. The pad thai was great. They also have bottles of wine, so you can dine in stye. I like the fact you don't have to wait to order your food- just order it at the counter and grab a table.

    (4)
  • Tim F.

Like everyone says, this is a more affordable P.F. Chang's. The food is good, but just not quite as good as at Chang's. However, the prices are great and the portions are huge considering what you're paying. Also, the ambiance is really nice and I genuinely enjoyed eating here.

  • Lucy W.

MONGOLIAN BEEF! Lettuce wraps and curry! Stay away from watered down lacking in FLAVOR Hot and Sour soup! Why 3 out of 5? I am not particularly fond of CHAIN restaurants plus their portions are like 65% RICE and 35% FOOD. I guess all their money is spent on their packaging and customized chopsticks. Have you ever noticed that they don't use the same soy sauce as other "Chinese" food take-outs and restaurants? Also, I had their lettuce wrap a few days ago and it was just lacking that extra KICK that has me seeing double, I mean hearts! LOVE... =P

  • Christine G.

So basically i never really need to go to PF Changs ever again. the only thing i liked at PF Changs is Mongolian Beef Crispy Shrimp and the Lettuce Wraps. WOW look at that, Pei Wei has the exact same things on the menu all under 10 bucks. This location is quick and comes out with your food in less than 10 minutes it is huge portions, i can take home my mongolian beef and eat it for a late night snack. also since they take your order when you walk in they have some staff walk around and they get you anything you need. One good thing about you health concious peeps they offer you the option of brown or white rice or for a dollar more you can get tasty fried rice. Basically Pei Weis in town and doesnt look like its going anywhere.

  • Rene C.

I've had better chinese food at a mall food court. I had heard about Pei Wei's from co workers and I like P.F. Chang's so I decided to give it a try today. I haven't been this disappointed in food for a long time. I ordered the kid's lo mein for my son which was basically spaghetti noodles in a sweet, vinegary broth. He spit it out after one bite. I got the Dan Dan noodles which were described as spicy. That is a joke and it comes with a syrup sauce that you have to mix around in the bowl. I figured they would at least stir fry it all together. And the egg noodles were so starchy, I probably ate the equivalent of a triple stack of pancakes. The ambiance and service was great but the food was horrible.

My friends and I actually mention Pei Wei when we want to gross each other out. My stomach is turning as I write this. I can not believe they call their greasy, salty, slop- food. Of course it doesn't help that the people working there do not seem to take pride in their work. It is obvious they are there for a pay check and can not wait to get out. Come on people get a clue

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
